Jeroen van Beek, PhD

Chief Commercial Officer – Elevate Portfolio Company

Before joining ElevateBio, Jeroen was the Chief Commercial Officer and Senior Vice-President at Tricida in charge of commercial strategy, planning and operations.  At Tricida, he helped raise $256M in the company’s successful IPO, resulting in a > $1B market capitalization.  From 2007 to 2017, Jeroen worked at Alexion Pharmaceuticals, most recently as the Vice-President of Global Commercial Operations and Development in charge of the global Soliris® franchise with sales of over $3 billion annually.  He was also responsible for the life-cycle management of Soliris® and the commercial development and positioning of Alexion’s portfolio of next-generation complement inhibitors.  During his tenure at Alexion, Jeroen led the industry-leading launches for Soliris® in two rare diseases: the blood disorder Paroxysmal Nocturnal Hemoglobinuria and the kidney disease atypical Hemolytic Uremic Syndrome.  From 1999 to 2007, Jeroen held positions of increasing commercial responsibility at Pfizer including Marketing Director, Oncology responsible for launching Sutent® for renal cell carcinoma and gastrointestinal stromal tumor.  Jeroen received his B.S. in Chemistry from the University of Virginia, his Ph.D. in Chemistry from Cornell University, and his M.B.A. from the Darden Business School at the University of Virginia.
