Tyler brings a wealth of experience in assay design and optimization in the infectious disease and immuno-oncology spaces, for products ranging from preclinical research to commercialization. He is responsible for the development of translational assays for various immunotherapy programs and contributes to the advancement of second-generation product candidates.
Prior to ElevateBio, Previously, Tyler was a researcher at Genocea Biosciences, where he was instrumental in developing assays to characterize vaccine products and generate vital immune monitoring data for advancement of a clinical stage HSV-2 vaccine and an early stage neoantigen immunotherapy. Previous to Genocea, Tyler was an analyst at Emergent BioSolutions, establishing bioassays to define a new manufacturing process for BioThrax®, and contributed to the development of next generation anthrax vaccines.

Tyler received his B.S. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology/Biotechnology from Michigan State University.
